PVDF PE Coated Aluminum Coil Custom Slit Width 20mm-1600mm 3003 3105 H24 0.2-3.0mm

Most coil buyers lose money twice: once on a coating that fails the spec, and again on a slitting tolerance that is too loose for their forming line. This product is built to remove both risks. We coat 3003, 3105, 1060 and 1100 aluminium on a 260 metre continuous roll coating line, cure it in a multi-zone oven, and then slit the finished coil down to your exact working width on the same plant - so the coating you approve on the sample is the coating that arrives on the pallet, at the width your machine actually needs.

Three coating families are available on the same base coil, selected by the exposure level of the end use rather than by price alone.

70 percent Kynar 500 or Hylar 5000 resin based PVDF, applied at 23 to 25 micron dry film thickness over a 5 to 7 micron chrome free conversion primer. PVDF is the specified system for architectural facades, curtain wall panels, aluminium composite panel skins and roofing where a 20 year colour and gloss warranty is required. It resists chalking and colour shift under high UV load, and passes 1,000 hour neutral salt spray without blistering or undercutting at the scribe.

Standard polyester PE at 18 to 22 micron for interior panels, ceilings, signage, appliance housings and general fabrication where UV exposure is moderate. PE gives excellent colour coverage, good flexibility over a 2T bend and the lowest cost per square metre of the three systems.

FEVE is available for projects specifying a fluorocarbon finish with higher gloss retention than standard PVDF, and is commonly requested for European and Japanese green building submissions.

Paint is sourced from AkzoNobel, PPG, Beckers or equivalent approved suppliers. Colour matching runs to RAL, Pantone or a physical sample, with a colour chip issued for written approval before coating starts. Gloss is controlled in the 30 to 40 unit range for matte architectural finishes, or 80 to 90 for high gloss signage work.

Master coil runs from 600mm to 1600mm wide. We slit the coated coil to any working width down to 20mm, holding plus or minus 0.1mm on width and camber under 1mm per 2 metres run. Slitting after coating, rather than before, keeps the paint film continuous to the cut edge and avoids the exposed bare metal line that appears when pre-slit strip is coated afterwards.

Multi width splitting from one master coil is standard practice for buyers who need, for example, 505mm gutter strip alongside 120mm channel letter strip from the same production batch and the same colour lot.

• Colour lot consistency: coating and slitting run from one mother coil, so all widths in the shipment share one colour and one heat number.
• No double handling: buyers avoid importing full width coil, warehousing it and paying a local slitter - a route that typically adds 8 to 12 percent cost and 3 to 4 weeks.
• Lower scrap: nested slitting patterns on the master coil keep edge trim under 3 percent on repeat widths.
• Predictable forming: flatness and camber are controlled after slitting, so narrow strip does not walk or jam in roll forming and press lines.

Aluminium composite panel skins, curtain wall and column cladding, roofing and wall sheet, gutter and downspout, channel letters and signage, roller shutter and rolling gate, ceiling and baffle systems, HVAC insulation jacketing, appliance and furniture panels, lift and elevator wall cladding, glass spacer and zebra strip, and general light gauge fabrication.

Coil is wound on heavy duty cores, interleaved with PE film or protective paper, wrapped in VCI film and stretch film, then steel strapped and mounted eye to sky or eye to wall on fumigation free seaworthy wooden pallets. Edge protectors are fitted on every coil. Wood grain and high gloss finishes receive an additional removable protective film.

Ready stock widths and standard RAL colours ship in 7 to 10 working days. Custom colour matching with new paint order and custom slit widths: 20 to 25 working days after colour chip approval.
