Packaging of Aluminum Sheet

Yongsheng aluminum sheet is placed on a wooden pallet or wooden box, wrapped perfectly with waterproof craft paper, and then fixed with a narrow strip of iron.

Usually, we have six layers of packing: put on wooden supports and put desiccant, wrap moisture proof film, wrap the plastic film, wrap the moisture-proof cotton, wrap the plastic moisture proof film again and pack it with cardboard.

2A12 aluminum alloy physical properties

In 2A12 aluminum alloy, the alloying elements used significantly increase its strength. This is because the total elemental percentage of copper (Cu), magnesium (Mg) and manganese (Mn) added is 6.5% – Cu-4.4%, Mg-1.5% and Mn-0.6%. However, the increased strength provided by the high percentage of copper does reduce its corrosion resistance.

Aluminum alloy 2A12 has good machinability and is easy to process, so it can be extruded, cold worked and cut as required.

Corrosion resistance of 2A12 aluminum Sheet

As mentioned above, the base 2A12 aluminum alloy is more susceptible to corrosion than most other aluminum alloys. This problem can be solved by cladding more corrosion-resistant aluminum on the 2A12 aluminum alloy sheet products. The strength of the final product is 2A12 aluminum alloy, which has the corrosion resistance of other alloys, but is still very light in weight. The cladding may be a high purity aluminum alloy such as 1100 or 3003.
