Key Characteristics of 1050/1060/1070 Aluminum Sheet
Industrial pure aluminum offers the fundamental characteristics of aluminum, including low density, excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, superior corrosion resistance, and outstanding plastic processing performance. These materials can be processed into plates, strips, foil, and extruded products, and are suitable for gas welding, argon arc welding, and spot welding applications.
Industrial pure aluminum cannot be heat-treated for strengthening, but strength can be enhanced through cold deformation. The primary heat treatment method is annealing, with recrystallization typically beginning around 200°C. Mechanical properties vary based on processing: annealed sheets typically exhibit σb=80-100MPa, σ0.2=30-50MPa, ζ=35-40%, HB=25-30. After 60-80% cold deformation, strength increases to 150-180MPa while ζ decreases to 1-1.5%.
