Case Study: 46 Tons 3003-H24 Coated Aluminum Foil for a Serbian Food Container Producer

Customer Background

Our customer is a disposable food packaging manufacturer based in Serbia. The company produces single-use aluminum foil food containers for supermarkets, catering and food-service customers across the Balkan region. To run its stamping and forming lines efficiently, it requires a steady supply of lubricated (oiled) aluminum foil with stable thickness, flatness and surface quality.

Order Requirements

  • Total volume: 46 tons of coated (lubricated) aluminum foil.
  • Alloy and temper: 3003-H24, chosen for its strength, formability and good corrosion resistance.
  • Specification 1: 0.040 mm thickness x 762 mm width.
  • Specification 2: 0.033 mm thickness x 698 mm width.
  • Surface: oiled / coated foil to support clean demolding and high-speed forming.
  • End use: production of disposable aluminum foil food containers.

Our Solution

We supplied 46 tons of 3003-H24 coated aluminum foil in the two requested specifications, 0.040 mm x 762 mm and 0.033 mm x 698 mm. The foil was lubricated (oiled) on a controlled line to give consistent surface oil coverage, which helps the customer's presses release cleanly and reduces tearing during deep drawing of food containers.

Because container production is highly sensitive to thickness tolerance and flatness, we tightened gauge control and packed the coils for long-distance sea freight to Serbia, protecting the surface from moisture and mechanical damage in transit.

Beyond this order, our factory offers flexible customization: the 8011 and 3003 alloys are both available in O temper and H24, with thickness adjustable from 0.03 mm to 0.1 mm, and either oiled (coated) or unoiled surface. This gives the customer room to expand its product range, from thin, highly formable lids to thicker container bodies, without changing suppliers.
